I like your ass and your hair. And your lips, and your eyes, and your wine, and your apartment, and your schools. But I have no order.
1. I'm usually bad, but when I'm good, I'm devilishly good.
2. Most of the so-called brave people have no imagination. They can’t imagine what would happen if something went wrong. Real courage suppresses the imagination and makes people do what they have to do.
3. We don't even ask for happiness, just a little less pain.
4. You can love a man if you don’t know him too closely.
5. Democracy differs from dictatorship in that in a democracy you are first offered elections and then given orders; in a dictatorship you do not have to waste time voting.
6. A cupcake is a great thing only when there is nothing else to do.
7. Everyone has their own personal hell and not one.
8. There's too much going on in the world. If only people could agree on everything, it would be different.
9. It's all my childhood fault, you know. I never knew what love was.
10. I don’t like laws, rules, religion or morality. I will not allow society to reshape me in its own way.
11. People owe each other a certain loyalty, even if they are not married. In a sense, trust must go deeper precisely because it is not sanctified by law.
12. Starting a relationship is always the easiest. After that, the covers begin to fall off, and it never ends.
13. I tried to convince myself that guilt was just a kind of disease. That it is people without guilt who make progress in life. People who can lie, cheat, people who always know how to cut corners.
14. I know my flaws too well to demand mutual love.
15. If you want to drink, drink; if you want to be close, throw the bottle away.
16. Anyone who wants a cupcake says anything but it.
17. If you have almost no soul left and you know it, then you still have a soul.
18. If you succeed in deceiving a person, it does not mean that he is a fool, it means that you were trusted more than you deserve.
19. I don’t believe you can change the world for the better. I believe we can try not to make it worse.
20. Beauty is nothing. You don't realize how lucky you are to be ugly, because if people like you, you know it's different.
21. The problem with this world is that educated people are full of doubt and fools are full of confidence.
22. The bad news for me is being in a crowd. Being in a crowd of people and listening to their conversations. It can make you crazy. These conversations are crazy talk. Even dogs speak better. I used to do this: I put down the curtains and didn't answer the phone or knock on the door for about a week. I didn't get out of bed, I didn't do anything, I didn't see anyone. It helps a lot.
23. Some people still think your poems are a waste of time. What's not a waste of time? Some collect stamps or kill their grandmothers. We all just wait, do the little things and wait for death.
24. To start saving the world, you have to save one person at a time; to save everyone is romanticism and politics.
25. Some people don’t know how to go crazy – they have terribly boring lives.
Yes, morally - Bukowski is not a gift, that's a fact. : But he really had a literary talent. Although he led a very loose image of Life, from its bottom - many things are treated in a special way. There are some words that I agree with at my young age.
It's an interesting movie. Competently arranged for such a madman in all respects - Man.But still order and discipline are more important to me. That's more time. You have to be able to drink.
I prefer dry red. Often Chilean, less Italian, even cool - Georgian. But more tart. : But in good company and a snack worth it :
Those who want to understand Bukowski’s semantics need to read more of his stories. The film, in any case, does not reflect its essence, but only the contours. :)😎
